The conference will be held in Xuhui Campus, which is at the right heart of Shanghai.

* Xuhui Campus is located on Hua Shan Road with cafes, bars, exquisite shops and beautifully arranged gardens as well as various kinds of foreign-style houses scattered along the dense boulevard. This impressive tree-lined promenade stretches to the two ends of famous commercial and leisure centre – Xu Jia Hui and Huai Hai Road; and the prestigious diplomatic district is within walking distance from Shanghai’s best dining, shopping, night life and entertainment venues.

 

Food and drink

Lunches and refreshments will be provided for conference delegates. There will also be a conference dinner (May 31st), which is free for registered conference delegates.

Food:

Xiaolongbao- A type of steamed dumpling made with a thin skin of dough and stuffed with pork or minced crab meat, and soup. The delicious soup stays inside the dumpling until it is bitten.(e.g., Nanxiang Steamed Bun Restaurant )

Shengjian(bao)- These pan-fried pork buns are crispy on the bottom, fluffy on top, and filled with a hot, savory soup inside. Typically served with a sprinkling of sesame seeds and green onions. (e.g., Xiaoyang Shengjian)

Shanghai Cuisine- Characterized by its use of soy source, which gives dishes a red and shiny appearance. Compared to other Chinese cuisines, it has a mellower and slightly sweet taste. (e.g.,Lübolang, No. 115, Yuyuan Road, Yuyuan Garden, Huangpu District, Shanghai)
