Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Institute of Regional and Country Studies hosted the 2025 China-Oceania High-Quality Cooperation Development Forum, where experts discussed collaborative research and the development of a knowledge system in the fields of science and humanities related to Oceania.

On September 13th, 2025, the 4-day-long China-Japan Youth Elite Program, hosted by Shanghai Jiao Tong University, came to a successful conclusion.

Recently, the Center for Chinese Social Science Research Evaluation of Nanjing University officially released the "List of CSSCI (Chinese Social Sciences Citation Index) Source Journals (2025-2026)". Contemporary Foreign Language Studies, an academic journal sponsored by the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, made the list. 
 

On June 3rd, SJTU Academy for International and Regional Studies was officially established, followed by an unveiling ceremony and a thematic seminar.
