The Fifth SFL International Young Scholars Forum is organized for worldwide outstanding young scholars in language studies, literature, translation studies and related fields, aiming to establish a high-level communication platform for outstanding young scholars by arranging special reports and seminars, and to build a bridge between SFL and outstanding young scholars who are interested in joining SFL in order to further boost the development of SFL.

The 2024 Osaka University and Nagasaki University Faculty and Students Visiting China Program, hosted by the Center for Japanese Studies and the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, started on September 23, 2024 officially. 

Prof. Liu Jianjun's book Byzantium: A Literary History of the Eastern Roman Empire was added to the 2024 National Library of Philosophy and Social Science.
