On April 2, Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the CPC SJTU Committee, visited the Humanities and Foreign Languages Building to visit the faculty and staff of the School of Foreign Languages and The School of Humanities.

The first SJTUer "Global Competence" English Public Speaking Competition, which was jointly organized by the School of Foreign Languages, International Affairs Division, Academic Affairs Office and Graduate School of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, was held in the East Central Hall of Minhang Campus on the afternoon of December 8, 2021.

Professor Jin Yan from the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University won the 2021 International Language Testing Association Outstanding Achievement Award. Sun Hang, a doctoral graduate of the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, won the 2020 Asian Language Testing Association Excellent Doctoral Thesis Award.
