Great News! Professor Li Chengchen of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Makes the List of  2025 “Highly Cited Researcher”

Clarivate Analytics recently released its 2025 “Highly Cited Researcher” list, with Professor Li Chengchen from the School of Foreign Languages at Shanghai Jiao Tong University selected in the Social Sciences category.

 

 

 

The list of “Highly Cited Researcher” is compiled by Clarivate's Institute for Scientific Information through rigorous evaluation and selection based on citation data from the Web of Science Core Collection. It recognizes natural and social scientists who have made significant contributions to their disciplines and exerted global influence. The list is updated based on an 11-year rolling cycle. Scientists included in the list have research outputs that rank in the top 1% globally in terms of citations within their respective fields and corresponding years. This signifies that these scholars possess high global influence in their research domains and have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of these fields.

 


Li Chengchen, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Foreign Languages, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, concurrently serves as Honorary Professor at the Institute of Education, University College London. Her research focuses on foreign language education, second language acquisition, and bilingual effects from a positive psychology perspective. She has published over 50 academic papers in SSCI and CSSCI journals including The Modern Language Journal, Studies in Second Language Acquisition, and Modern Foreign Languages, and has led more than ten research projects including the National Social Science Fund. She currently serves as Vice President of the International Association for the Psychology of Language Learning, Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Multilingual and Multicultural Development (SSCI, A&HCI), Associate Editor of Studies in Second Language Learning and Teaching (SSCI), and Editorial Board Member for SSCI journals including the Annual Review of Applied Linguistics. She has been recognized as a “Highly Cited Researcher” by Clarivate Analytics (2024, 2025) and listed among the “Top 2% Scientists” by Stanford University (2022-2025).
