Explore AI-enabled College English Teaching Model

Shanghai Jiao Tong University has made a large-scale attempt to popularize AI+ education in language teaching, against the background of continuous development of artificial intelligence technology represented by the large language model LLM, and the exploration of the landing application scenarios of AI.

 


Recently, Shanghai Jiao Tong University officially opened the "Powere-enhancing Learning Camp" for new students.

According to the relevant people in charge, unlike in the past, Shanghai Jiao Tong University has cooperated with netclass technology to introduce the latest large language model application AI English Go in the English course of "Power-enhancing Learning Camp".

This is a human-computer dialogue system based on LLM and wechat mini program, which enables students to have one-on-one English conversation training with digital teacher based on GPT model.

How does online teaching guarantee students' oral English learning effect?

It is said that as a teaching assistan, the AI system t can simulate real dialogue scenes according to the course theme when a total of 13 dialogue scenes are set up, covering school life, leisure and entertainment, life planning, etc. According to their learning needs and interests, students can choose the theme dialogue freely, while AI teachers can adjust the content and difficulty of the dialogue intelligently, that is, according to the students' learning progress and level, so as to realize self-adaptive auxiliary teaching, and help students improve their oral English more efficiently.
It is reported that this AI English auxiliary teaching platform and application scenarios, which are jointly planned and launched by netclass technology and the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, makes traditional language learning more humane and interactive through artificial intelligence foreign language dialogue and training robots.
