Shanghai Jiao Tong University Research Center for the Global Image of China

With the rapid growth of China’s soft power and global influence, an increasing demand to know more about the global image of China is evident. Against this background, Shanghai Jiao Tong University Research Center for the Global Image of China was established. Supported by the School’s corpus translation studies and corpus linguistics studies, the Center collaborates with Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Institute of Arts and Humanities, School of Media and Communication at SJTU to conduct interdisciplinary studies of China’s global images.

 

Shanghai Jiao Tong University Research Center for the Global Image of China positions itself as a center dedicated to interdisciplinary, collaborative, international and empirical research and is  building itself into a strong think tank with a high international reputation in the field of national image research.
