The Exchange Program with the Faculty of Cultural Studies, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich)
Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU Munich) is located in the city center of Munich, the capital of Bavaria, Germany. Since its founding, it has been one of the most prestigious comprehensive universities in Europe and even the world. It is also a member of Germany’s Eleven Elite Universities, the German U15 University Consortium, and the League of European Research Universities (LERU). Its disciplines, including social sciences, humanities, physics, chemistry, medicine, mathematics, and computational linguistics, enjoy an international reputation.
 
This program combines the outstanding research capabilities, complementary strengths, and infrastructure of the two faculties to form a synergistic effect, aiming to establish a flagship research community in language and literature. The exchange experience through this program will help students identify clear directions for their subsequent development such as further studies and employment.

The Dual Master's Degree Program in Collaboration with the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne, founded in 1853, is one of the world's top public research universities and a leading academic hub in the Southern Hemisphere.

After completing the first two semesters of coursework in the Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) program at our school, students can apply for this program to pursue further studies at the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences of the University of Melbourne. Upon successful completion of the compulsory courses required by both the MTI programs of the University of Melbourne and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, students will be awarded a master's degree conferred by the Graduate School of Humanities and Social Sciences, the University of Melbourne.

The Dual Master's Degree Program in Collaboration with the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS)
Founded in 1955, the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey (MIIS) was formerly known as the "Monterey Institute of Foreign Studies". It focuses on promoting international understanding and cooperation through language and cultural research and education. As one of the most academically reputable professional institutes in the United States for language and international policy studies, MIIS has gained widespread recognition from both academic and professional circles, and is widely regarded as one of the world’s top three translation institutions. In 2005, the institute affiliated with Middlebury College located in Vermont, USA, and is now a renowned institution with outstanding strengths in language education, international economics, and environmental studies. MIIS comprises two graduate schools and several world-class research centers, with core academic focuses including international politics, environmental policy, international business, language teaching, translation, and simultaneous interpretation. Among these, its language teaching and translation & interpreting programs rank among the top in the world.
 
This cooperative program will help students of our school enhance cross-cultural understanding, broaden their international horizons, deepen their knowledge of international organizations, and master modern translation technologies. Additionally, in recognition of the high-quality teaching of the Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, MIIS specifically offers scholarship support for students recommended by the School of Foreign Languages, Shanghai Jiao Tong University and ultimately admitted to MIIS.

The Dual Bachelor's Degree Program in Collaboration with the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU)
The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) is a public comprehensive research university located in Hong Kong, China, and one of the oldest universities in Hong Kong. Established in 1988, the Department of Chinese and Bilingual Studies (DCBS) of PolyU is renowned for its balanced emphasis on academia and application, as well as its in-depth and extensive curriculum. It has achieved outstanding performance in research areas such as Chinese linguistics, language and communication disorders, cognitive neuroscience, bilingual communication, Chinese language teaching, language technology, and translation & interpreting. The department is equipped with advanced scientific experimental facilities, language laboratories, a Translation Research Centre, and an electronic platform specially designed for training interpreters.
 
This program focuses on strengthening students' bilingual proficiency training, enhancing their adaptability for further studies at top universities in Europe and America. It aims to cultivate talents with "global competence" urgently needed for social development—internationalized professionals with both theoretical and practical knowledge—thereby improving students' overall competitiveness in the job market.

The Dual Bachelor's Degree Program in Collaboration with the Department of Asian Business and Economics, Konstanz University of Applied Sciences

Konstanz University of Applied Sciences is a modern, practice-oriented university. It offers a wide range of programs, adopts interdisciplinary teaching methods, and adheres to the educational philosophy of integrating theory with practice. The university provides first-class education and career development opportunities for outstanding talents from diverse backgrounds. It attaches great importance to personalized guidance for students, supports their personal growth, and offers them opportunities to gain international experience. Since the launch of this program, nearly 20 students have participated in it. Through further studies via the program, these students have entered interdisciplinary research fields such as accounting, architecture, management, and legal studies. Most graduates are employed in areas related to Sino-German business and trade.
