Test Format 

English Exemption Examination for International Students

Part I Writing (30 minutes)

Candidates are required to write an argumentative essay in response to a given topic.

Part II Speaking

The speaking test consists of two tasks: Guided Introduction and Question.

Task 1: Guided Introduction

Preparation time: 30 seconds
Response time: 1 minute

Candidates will be given two topics related to personal experience, daily life, interests, etc. They should choose one topic and give a short spoken response.

Task 2: Question

Preparation time: 1 minute
Response time: 2 minutes

Candidates are required to respond to a question related to topics such as university study, education, technology, society, or student life.

1.  外国语学院（杨咏曼楼）位于元培路与南洋南路交汇处，东上院东面马路对面。

The School of Foreign Languages (Yang Yongman Building) is located at the intersection of Yuanpei Road and Nanyang South Road, across the road from the east side of the East Upper Building.

2.  东上院东面马路对面可见下图建筑，沿箭头方向直走。

From the east side of the East Upper Building, you will see the building shown below across the road. Follow the arrow and continue straight ahead.

3.  直走到该处右拐

Turn right at the point shown below.

4.  如下图进入外国语学院

Enter the School of Foreign Languages through the entrance shown below.

5.  进入后沿一楼直走，电梯旁教室为107教室。

Once inside, continue straight along the ground-floor corridor. Room 107 is next to the elevator.
