Recently, Stanford University released the list of top 2% Global Scientist for 2023 (October 2023 data-update for "Updated science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators "). In the field of literature, Professor Shang Biwu from the School of Foreign Languages of Shanghai Jiao Tong University made the list.

It is understood that the list of the top 2% Global Scientists was released by Stanford University and Elsevier, an authoritative international academic publishing house. The list carries out comprehensive evaluation of researchers according to such parameters as their  research output, H-index, works cited, and author ranking position in works. Encompassing art, science and enginnering, the list is divided into 22 subject fields and 174 sub-fields, aiming to provide a measurement index for scientists' long-term research performance, which can reflect the scientists' influence more objectively and truthfully. Making the top 2% Global Scientists list means that the scholar has a high world influence in his field of research and has made outstanding contributions to the development of the field.
