Title: Strategies and Approaches for Publications in SSCI and A&HCI Journals

 

Content:This workshop is designed to demystify the processes of publishing research articles in ISI journals in the fields of social sciences and humanities. The goal of this workshop is to empower participants to increase their chances of successfully publishing their research in esteemed journals. Participants will leave the workshop with tips, ideas and insights about how to carry out research and prepare their manuscripts for submission to key SSCI, A&HCI journals in their field of specialisation so as to increase their chances of being reviewed and published.

 

Speaker:Ahmar Mahboob teaches linguistics at the University of Sydney, Australia. Ahmar has worked in the areas of English language learning/teaching, English language teacher education, identity management, language policy & practice, minority languages, NNEST studies, pidgin and creole languages, Systemic Functional Linguistics, and World Englishes. Ahmar has a keen interest in critical language variation. His research focuses on different facets of how language variation relates to a range of educational, social, professional, and political issues. Ahmar has published seven authored/edited books, four special editions of journals, and over 60 papers and articles. He is the Co-Editor of TESOL Quarterly (with Brian Paltridge). He was also the Associate Editor of Linguistics and the Human Sciences and serves on the editorial boards of a number of journals. Ahmar has organised a number of regional, national, and international conferences and is the convenor and the co-creator of the Free Linguistics Conference.
